Where To Start?!

Oh my goodness, there is so much that has happened in the last month or so. I’ll have to do a quick overview so I can remember all of this later!

Sara Paige had her very first preschool Christmas performance and it was beyond precious. We ate up every second and have watched the video over and over again :)

I got accepted to nursing school at UT-Arlington!!! I’ll start the 15 month BSN program in 3 weeks. The classes are online {like my pre-reqs have been} and I’ll be at a hospital on Saturdays and Sundays so Brad will watch the girls. I’m SO thankful to have such a supportive husband. I know it won’t be easy on him to work a full time job and then watch the girls on weekends. I have to drive to Arlington on Wednesdays to take tests and that will take quite a while to get there and back. As a result, Sara Paige will have to switch schools to something that will accommodate longer than 9am-2pm. She and Harper will start going to a new school up the road on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so I can work/study/test. I am praying they adjust well and love it. The five of us took a tour this afternoon and it seems fantastic. Sara Paige is really looking forward to it. I adore her current preschool so it’s sad to move her. I hope sweet Harper does well too; I’m a bundle of nerves just thinking about it. This will be her first time away from me during the day.

Yay!!

In other news, Kate has been looking forward to losing her first tooth for months {apparently it’s quite the thing to do in kindergarten}. She’s been sketching teeth and wiggling her chompers everyday to make sure there aren’t any loose teeth.

Well, guess what? She got a wiggly one and it came out on Christmas night! How exciting: Santa and the Tooth Fairy on the same day. The Tooth Fairy gave her $2 for her first tooth but that stingy fairy told me for all other teeth, she’ll leave just $1.

We had 3 fantastic Christmas celebrations this year. One with my mom (Nana), one with my dad (Pop), and one in Angel Fire with Brad’s parents (Mimi and Poppy), sister, and brother-in-law.

In Angel Fire, Kate rocked out skis! She went on the ski lift with us and skied down a big green run twice after her lessons. We were so proud.

Sara Paige loved sledding and making cookies with Mimi.

Harper turned 9 months today!! I just can’t believe it. She is a love and we are all so crazy about her. She is not at all interested in crawling but finally takes a bottle. Yippee! She has her 9 month appointment Tuesday and I can’t wait to see how she’s grown. She tilts her head and snuggles in when you smile at her and will “raise the roof” if you ask. It’s hilarious.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

I hope to update this ‘ol blog a little more frequently. Thanks for hanging in there with us :) Time just flies by too fast.

PS… I’m currently obsessed with Legos and was so excited to build this 1962 VW Wagon I got from Brad and the girls for Christmas. Nerd alert! :)

Forgot to say…. I love your VW Wagon!! My kids are 17 and 22 now. Lego’s have always been in my house. Not nerdy!!!lol! Just creative!!!! My son Tyler (17) makes the creatures. It takes alot of patience to create with lego’s now a days.

Soooo many cute pictures! Harper has the bluest eyes!!! My son Brendan was impressed with your Lego building skills, he at first thought you built that from scratch! Hah! The biggest set he’s built was 1,560, it was the Star Wars Republic Gun Ship…boy is it ever cool! This years big Lego was a racing Ferrari F430 Challenge. You’d be in your glory in this house with all of our Lego’s! Best of luck to you in Nursing school and the kids will do GREAT in their new school, they adapt so easily!
