Kindergarten is here!!!

My sweet girl is back from her first day of kindergarten!! She had a blast and can’t wait to go back tomorrow. The whole Garland clan walked her into Ms. Weber’s class this morning (school starts at 7:50am) and Kate simply said “See you later, guys.” What a relief!  I was totally one of those lingering parents who peeked in the window to make sure she was fine. Of course, she was more than fine.

At home, the time crept by and I kept staring at the clock to see if it was time to pick up Kate. Sara Paige, Harper and I got to the carpool line 25 minutes before school let out and the line was *crazy* – like wrap around the building crazy. My heart melted when I saw Kate walk to the car with a huge grin on her face. She had a fantastic first day and can’t wait to ride the bus with all of her friends in the morning.

Where do you go to school? Elliott.

What grade are you in? Kindergarten.

What is your teacher’s name? Miss Weber.

How old is your teacher? Hmm, 25.

Who are your friends in your class? Everybody is my friend, actually.

What did you learn today? Well, not really much as it turns out.

What do you think you’ll learn tomorrow? I would say that I don’t know.

What was the best part of your day? Seeing Callie in the cafeteria.

What was the funniest part of your day? When Miss Weber shook her booty in front of the ENTIRE class. It was just hilarious. She really cracks me up.

What was the worst part of your day? When (insert name here) was sassy to everyone in class and told me that no one in the class is her friend and that Ms. Weber treats her like garbage.
