Harper Grace Garland was born on Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 at 8:24pm CST! She was 8 pounds 14 ounces (after she peed!) and 20 inches long. She has beautiful blue eyes and a head full of dark hair. We are completely smitten with the newest addition to our family 
Here’s a brief run down of events…
* Monday night we went out to eat at On The Border and I hung my diaper bag on my chair before sitting down. The bag was so heavy, it pulled the chair to the ground but I didn’t notice. So I went to sit down on the chair and crashed to the floor instead. OUCH! I couldn’t sleep at all Monday night due to back pain and intense pressure. I felt the baby move a lot though.
* Tuesday morning I called the doctor and told them what happened. They sent me to L&D for monitoring. We got there at 10am. I was having regular contractions and *still* at 4cm (for 2+ weeks at this point). They admitted me, started my epidural, etc…
* Harper was born at 8:24pm!! We were surprised how big she was at 38 weeks and 3 days!! She is such a doll.
* We got transferred over to postpartum a little after midnight and I got to watch her first bath (really cool since I missed Kate and Sara Paige’s).
* We spent all day yesterday in the hospital. Harper is healthy, happy and passed all of her newborn screens.
* We got home this afternoon (Thursday).
I am so thankful to be entrusted with this sweet and precious baby girl. Brad, Kate, Sara Paige and I are all in heaven! I’ll update pictures as I can

Congrats Mama! You are so on top of things – our little one was born Monday and I still haven’t even gotten any pictures loaded from my camera. AND can you believe it was so crazy we didn’t even get a picture of all of us together at the hospital???

What a wonderful post. I’m telling you, that sweet baby girl is just SO adorable! The one of her snuggled on her chest makes me ache for the days I held my two like that. Her hat in the last picture is OMG C.U.T.E.!!! I have to agree, that should be in a magazine somewhere. I’m so happy everyone is healthy and doing good…especially after your fall, wow, that must have been scary indeed. Best wishes on a speedy recovery and savor every special moment with your newest addition and her big sisters, I’m sure they will do a GREAT job of helping you out and giving her lots of kisses. Oh Jenny, Harper is just beautiful! I’m so glad she’s doing so well! Have you had a chance to think about your back or is it better yet? So sorry to hear about your fall!
