I am 34 weeks pregnant today and each day I get more excited to meet Harper! It’s just around the corner now. I am officially waddling everywhere. I get winded walking up the stairs (okay, and also to the mailbox). The girls and I went to watch Brad play soccer today and I thought I might go into labor after chasing them around the field. I’m sure his team appreciated the fact that I didn’t
ha!
Spending a great weekend with Brad and the girls reminded me of the post I did a while back on finding time to do what you love. It’s always a balancing act and I have come to accept that there are seasons for everything. I would *love* to sew and blog more, but right now it’s just not in the cards. And that’s okay. I love the Project Life weekly updates I’m doing for this year but adding those cute date overlays took up a lot of time I could spend studying or working. So today I told myself to not worry about adding the overlays. As silly as that sounds, I was relieved! I mean really, who cares if I don’t add the daily overlays to each picture? Not me. Not Brad. Not the girls. And we’re the ones I’m making the book for! I am such a nerd sometimes. I can get in my own way
On an pretty unrelated note, I thought this was the sweetest thing… Kate has been learning about the United States and the Presidents in preschool lately. She made a hat like Abraham Lincoln this past week. I guess Lincoln used to store important papers in his hat, so each child was instructed to write a letter or important note to put in his or her hat. This is what she wrote:
My heart completely melted when she showed me her special note with her best handwriting and careful coloring. These are the important things in life … good to see ya, perspective!
I’m so thankful for Kate and her sweet, sweet heart.

This post got me all choked up. Children are reflections of their parents: You must be modeling God’s love for Kate for her to have such a sweet heart for Harper already. Just beautiful.
Awww…that is the sweetest thing ever! Your blue-eyed angel is soooo precious! Love her beautiful heart! I cannot believe you are already 34 weeks (I’m sure you can though!), the weeks seem to have just flown! Whew! So excited for you all…hope the home renovations are coming along nicely and everything is falling into place! Have a great week.
I’m on the countdown too – 37 weeks tomorrow! LOVE Kate’s headband, did you make it?
Yay Julie! I can’t wait to hear how everything goes. I got the headband from this Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/SugarChicBaby?ref=pr_shop_more . Love it and only $6!

How much luckier could I be? Very soon I will be the proud Aunt of THREE amazing girls. You and Brad have done an amazing job teaching both Kate and Sara Paige how important sisters are. And while we might have been a little bit “slower” to actually get that as kids (okay, and possibly teens – I’m blaming the almost 4 year age difference) I can say for sure I understand now. YOU and your husband and my incredible nieces have been a constant reminder of what is good and true in a year that made me question almost everything. Thank you for being a phenomenal mom to the kids in my life, Kate, Sara Paige and soon Harper!

Oh my gosh – what a deal! Thanks for sharing the link, I’ll definitely have to get one or two!
