A Way to Keep Track of Life

Project Life. Have you heard of it? In a nutshell, it’s a cute and compact way to journal and preserve photos. Becky sells a yearly kit on Amazon. Everything you need is included (journal cards, picture sleeves, date stamp, stickers, etc). My friend Lucia did this last year and I loved it. Here is an example of one of her weeks:

52 Weeks :: Example Pages

I make the girls a photo book each year for their birthday with special memories and pictures, but I don’t have anything that documents our day-to-day life as a family. I want to remember silly stories and look back at what we were doing any given week.

What I love about Project Life is you can execute it however you want. There’s no right or wrong way to do it.

Personally, I am going to take a photo each day this year and handwrite a blip about that day. On Tuesdays (starting next week), I’ll share my journal pages with you all from the week before. I think it’s going to be so much fun.

Plus, look how cute the design is? :) It remind me of fabric. Oh, I love fabric.

    Ok, this is seriously awesome and I just ordered a kit! This weekend, I ordered 1,000 photos so that I could update my albums…yes, 1,000! I had not printed any pictures out since our trip to Cabo in September, 2009! Before Jenna was even born! This kit is just what I need to keep me on track! Thanks for the info on it! By the way, your belly is looking so cute! I miss seeing you!!! Crazy holidays! We need to try to get together very soon!

    Kristin,

    Oh, I’m SO happy you ordered a kit! We’ll keep each other on track. PS – the cheapest place to print photos I have found is Costco (I know you have a membership too). I can’t wait to see you soon – there’s a Dallas Modern Quilt Guild mtg next Thur night if you want to go!

    Wow, that is SOOO cool!! I have to say though, I do love putting my books together on Snapfish. I scrapbooked for a while but then ran out of time and I’m actually many years behind on my daughter’s book…one of these days I’ll get around to it. Hopefully I can finish her book before May since she makes her First Communion and I like to have that book out for that event. I’m actually behind on Snapfish by about a year. I think I’ll get back in there this weekend and attempt to get caught up. I may just add my photos, scale back on the text and try to get ahead that way. I can’t wait to see how this evolves for your family…especially since it’s growing! Yay!

    I have heard of this before, but never really looked into it. I hate that I have been so sporadic in keeping up with the kids memory books and am considering giving this a try! Thanks for sharing. :)
