2010 Christmas Cards and a Gingerbread House Decorating Party

This is our 2010 Christmas card. Holy guacamole, it’s hard to get two kids to look at the camera and smile at the same time! I think I was probably dancing around like a lunatic and making promises of giant lollipops in order to get this photo :) I scanned it in, so forgive the quality.

Kate had a little fundraiser at her preschool for handmade Christmas cards and I think they turned out so darling. The reindeer is actually brown (not sure why my scanner made it yellow). This is the outside of the card:

Last night, my dear friend Mariah had the most fabulous gingerbread house decorating party you could imagine. Mariah always goes all out with Cricut decorations, crafts, candies, and snacks. Take a peek at her blog post about it :)

I took Kate and her best friend Kyndall to the party. They could not have had more fun decorating houses and playing with Aubrey, Mariah’s sweet daughter.

Kate *especially* had a great time because the gingerbread house she and Brad tried to decorate the other day from a box was a complete dud. I wish I had a picture of it! This is the one she made last night:

While the big girls decorated houses, the little sisters (Sara Paige and Avery) played at Kristi’s house.

I swear Kristi’s husband, Jim, is the baby whisperer. I know the girls had a ton of fun on their play date.

And of course they had to take their babies for a walk!

Hope your December is off to a festive start! … Although I guess we’re almost half way through the month?
