Kindle Cover

I inherited Brad’s Kindle awhile ago when he got an iPad for work. The regular old black case was fine but I wanted something spunkier. SO … I made this cover.

Here’s the front:

The back:

And the inside:

I just measured the size of the original black case (rectangle) and added on my desired flap size plus 1″ to each side for seam allowance.

Then I pieced two rectangles with random bit of fabric (Moda, of course!). Layered the two rectangles right sides together with batting on the back. Sewed all the way around the rectangle, leaving a 4″ gap for turning. Turned right side out and pressed. Added the quilting lines. Folded in flaps and topstitched all the way around. Slipped it on the Kindle and we’re good to go!

If that was gibberish, here’s a clear Kindle cover tutorial worth checking out :)
