My Casserole Carrier Pattern is featured over at the Moda Bake Shop today. Go check it out! I absolutely adore mine. It’s easy to carrier the casserole because of the purse handles and carry a baby at the same time. ha!

We’re in Angel Fire, NM visiting Brad’s parents (after a 12 hour drive yesterday) so I’ll check in when we get back next week
Happy (early) 4th of July!!

I saw this at Happiness is Quilting last week and it is really beautiful! You did a great job.
I remember my mom’s quitled casserole carrier. This one is much cooler, LOL!
Yeah! I can’t wait to try and make one, hopefully it will turn out just as cute.
oh my! I just LOVE this!!
This is SO cool!!! LOVE it and I think you should put them on Etsy girl!!! Have a wonderful 4th of July holiday in NM with your sweet family…I bet it’s hot and gorgeous there! We’re heading up to my brother’s cabin up north just southwest of Traverse City…fun times! No computer, no phones…just books and puzzles and relaxation…woot woot!
Can you tell me what type of snap setter you used for the casserole carrier? Or where I can find one?
hey jenny!!
i am making your casserole carrier you have in the moda shop and have a few questions if you don’t mind answering. First, handles. Did you sew the bottom of the flap AND put snaps? I am a bit confused about that. Second, is there batting on the handle flap and the 8×24 pieces that hold the dish in place? Third, could you explain the snaps a little more. like maybe how you would explain them to your oldest daughter..lol! I am having the hardest time wrapping my head around them and I feel silly about it. I am making this for a wedding gift and it already looks sooo good, i just need those little tidbits cleared up! thanks so much!!
Hey Jenny!
Okay, the handles are sewn in place. There is a layer of batting on *everything*.
Snaps… Once you have your carrier quilted and bound, lay a casserole dish in the middle. Fold over one 8×24 flap and look how it would need to snap in place. Mark your snap placements, and attach them. Then, leaving that flap snapped, fold over the other 8×24 flap and look how it would need to snap in place. Add those snaps. It’s simpler than it sounds but it will definitely help to lay a 9×13 casserole dish in the carrier to see it better. Then, you can add 3 snaps along the top edge (below the handle) for added security. This is optional but I think it makes the dish easier to carry.
Please let me know if you need something explained differently. Thanks.
Jenny

I would like to make the carrier from 2 fabrics could you please tell me the size of each of the long pieces.
Thankc
Hi Janice, the flaps are approximately 8″ x 24″ and the main body is about 31″ x 16.” Hope to help!
Hi, Jenny. I wanted to make the casserole carrier for my Mom for Christmas. I have all my charm squares laid out and was about to start sewing the strips together, but I wasn’t sure what seam allowance to use. I’ve just started sewing so I need all the help I can get!
Me ha gustado muchisimo este post, gracias por compartirlo…. Saludos
