You Too, Can Spray Paint Glass

Here's the pretty little glass piece I found at the thrift store the other week.

This afternoon while Kate and I were playing outside, I spray painted it white. It took 20 seconds. That's it. All I did was wash it well first. No primer, nothing fancy. Just cheapo white spray paint. I can't wait to put it on my bathroom counter and fill it with cotton balls or Q-Tips. Decisions, decisions…

Go ahead and spray paint glass, don't be scared :) Just be sure it's only a decorative piece and you will not be eating off it.

    awesome.
    i think cotton balls.
Does it really end up with that pearly finish, like in the photo?

Renee, I’m thinking cotton balls too but we use Q-Tips more, so who knows! Gotta try both out, I guess.
I didn’t edit the photo at all. I think it does have a pretty pearly finish – maybe because the light is shining through the glass a bit? Not sure. I don’t know if other colors would end up looking pearly. This was my first time to spray paint glass.

Wow, I never thought to spray paint glass–it almost looks like it’s made of metal or something. Great work!
