A Coupla Kimonos

I saw this simple kimono wrap pattern and thought it was adorable. I made one for each of the girls.

Instead of the inside tie, I used a snap to make dressing easier. This was the first time I made my own bias tape because I didn't have any on hand. I'm glad I figured it out because it definitely expands design possibilities!

If you make a kimono pattern, be sure to add it to Habitual's flickr group! Here are pictures of Baby Garlando's kimono (to be modeled at a later date) and Kate's kimono:

Okay so precious. I know you have time now, but really when you aren’t on bedrest when do you find the time?? I’m hoping to get back to sewing in January when things settle down from the holidays.

Kate is the positively most adorable girl! (Well, just after – never mind… LOL) The kimonos are adorable, and the fabric you chose for the one for Kate is fantastic! Beautiful work!
